Your Eyes Say a Thousand Words

Your eyes say a thousand words
Now your lips couldn’t tell me the things I heard
Cause they came right out of your soul
Grabbed my heart then gave a pull
Your eyes say thousand words
Hey, I remember the first time I saw you
Thought you were another pretty face in the crowd - just hangin’ around
As I would sing my songs
I saw your eyes singing along
Blasting it right out loud, it almost drowned me out
As I finished the tune, I knew that you would be mine soon
Cause your eyes said a thousand words
Your eyes said a thousand words
now your lips couldn’t tell me the things I heard
Cause they came right out of your soul
Grabbed my heart then gave a pull
Your eyes say thousand words
As the days went on, I courted your love
Cause I knew it was somethin’ sent here from up above
And I knew each time that I hugged ya, that I would always love ya
And we’d be together forever through all the years
As the years went on, we went through our trials
And we laughed and we cried we had our share of smiles
Now every day I wake up, I thank the Lord above
That your eyes said a thousand words
Your eyes say a thousand words
Now your lips couldn’t tell me the things I heard
Cause they came right out of your soul
Grabbed my heart then gave a pull
Your eyes said thousand words
Your eyes say a thousand words
Now your lips couldn’t tell me the things I heard
Now they came right out of your soul
Grabbed my heart then gave a pull
Your eyes said thousand words

Nothing to Me

Your tears don’t work
Your words don’t sting
Your looks don’t mean anything
Your personality comes from a can
You don’t define who I am
You’re nothing, nothing, nothing to me
The kale in the fridge
Can die alone
My Pizza and beer finally found a home
I can drink my scotch and play my guitar
Play x-box live smoke my Cuban cigar
You’re nothing, nothing, nothing to me
Remember when I told you I liked “what’s her face”
I couldn’t stand when we had to visit her place
And when you thought I liked Louis Vuitton
I’d rather drink cold coffee from Tim Hortons
you ask me what I like to do for fun
Its not watching you draw your eyebrows on
You tried to say we had pretty great times
We had posh parties drank extravagant wines
High level friends, with fake smiles and jeers
I couldn’t afford those twelve-dollar beers
Give me Sapporo Moose Head or Keith’s
Never have to hear that “it’s all about me”
You’re nothing, nothing nothing to me

CDO

Key of A (A,E,B)
Wakes up in the morning
Doesn’t have to pick out her clothes
Because that woman picked them out
The night before
Wrinkles drive her crazy
Doesn’t like them in her space
On her pants or on her shirt
Or on her face
CHORUS
But I love that woman’s OCD
And I know that woman loves me
She told me time and time before
I don’t have OCD that’s for sure
But I’m not sure I don’t have CDO
I’m not sure that I don’t have CDO
She locks the door checks it three times
I roll my eyes and we are fine
Then she ask me if I left the iron on
If it wasn’t for your OCD we’d be gone
I go back in and check it out
It’s all good and there no doubt
I say honey I love your OCD
She says baby... that’s CDO to me
She says baby... that’s CDO to me
At the end of a weekend getaway
I pick up her bags and then I say
Honey, I didn’t know you bought this much stuff...
She said I didn’t, I brought the iron so I know it’s off
What this woman does to me
With her blessed OCD
She makes our house into a home
I never ever feel alone
I don’t say she has OCD anymore
‘Cause alphabetically we all know it’s CDO

Taken (Spirit of a Child)
Bob Donaldson
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
He sits in his room - stares at the wall
He doesn’t notice me at all
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
When I go to my room - early at night
They don’t think I can hear them fight
I can hear them scream
I can hear them cry
When I ask what’s wrong
They say they’re fine
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Saw daddy cry - heard mama scream
teachers tell me it was just a dream
I heard the sirens and I saw the lights
Mama cried “this isn’t right”
And Daddy don’t talk to me no more
My Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Bridge
They say you hurt the ones you love
It’s the plan from up above
All you have to do is pray
They don’t know what I’ve lost
And they don’t know what the cost
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
I can’t go home - and I can’t stay here
Feels like it’s been a hundred years
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to keep
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
Daddy don’t talk to me no more
